About Me

Building practical software, automation and self-hosted systems to solve real problems.

Erind Osmani

Hello, I'm Erind Osmani.

This is my personal hobby website, where I keep track of the software, automation and self-hosted projects I build in my spare time.

I enjoy building useful things and experimenting with technology. Sometimes that means writing a small Python script that saves a few minutes every day. Other times it becomes a web application, a home lab service or a personal platform that grows over time.

I like working with Python, Flask, Linux, Docker, networking, Raspberry Pi and databases, but the technology itself is often secondary to the problem I'm trying to solve — or simply something I want to learn.

Not everything here is a polished product. Some projects are experiments, some solve a particular problem, and some started simply because I was curious to see whether I could build them.

This website is where I document those projects, keep notes about what I learn and share some of the things I find interesting along the way.

What I Enjoy

What I Enjoy Building

Software

Personal applications, Flask websites, Microsoft Access databases and practical tools that simplify everyday tasks.

Automation

Automating repetitive work using Python, Linux scripting and custom solutions.

Home Lab

Self-hosted services, Docker, Linux servers, backups, monitoring and personal cloud infrastructure.

What I'm Working On

Current Projects

NAS Control

A web-based platform for managing my home lab, servers, Docker containers, backups and infrastructure from a single interface.

Personal Wiki

A knowledge base designed to document projects, procedures and personal information in a simple, searchable and self-hosted platform.

Home Lab Platform

A continuously evolving environment built with Linux, Docker and virtualization for experimenting with new technologies and self-hosted services.

Personal Website

This website serves as a portfolio where I share my projects, document ideas and continue improving both the design and functionality over time.

How I Work

My Philosophy

KISS

Keep It Simple, Stupid.

Simple solutions are easier to understand, maintain and improve over time.

Automate

If I have to do the same task twice, I start thinking about how to automate it.

Build for Yourself First

Every project begins by solving a real problem that I personally encounter. If it proves useful, it becomes part of my daily workflow.
